Bollywood star Bobby Deol has been invited by the Luv Kush Ramlila Committee to symbolically burn the effigy of Ravana at the historic Red Fort grounds on October 2. In a video shared by the organizers, Bobby expressed his happiness at being a part of this annual tradition. He said, “This time I am coming to Delhi’s Ramlila… so see you on Dussehra.” Bobby’s presence is expected to draw a huge crowd, as lakhs of people usually attend this iconic event. Bobby Deol will play the role of Ram in this ceremony, symbolizing the victory of good over evil.

Arjun Kumar, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, said, “Bobby Deol’s participation will make this Dussehra even more spectacular and memorable.” He also added that Bobby’s presence will add a dash of star power to the festivities and make the experience even more memorable for the audience.

The Luv Kush Ramlila held at the Red Fort is considered one of the most iconic Ramlilas in the country. The play blends mythology and modern spectacle and draws large audiences from Delhi and surrounding areas. However, despite the criticism, the Ramlila organisers clarified that Pandey’s selection will not be changed, and she will continue to play Mandodari in the play.
