The Jolly LLB 3 of Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi has given a booming performance at the music theatre, and especially on its second Saturday. The courtroom comedy-drama has so far already collected a cumulative of 84 crore net in India within nine days of its release, which is an indicator of high audience interest and a boost in the film as it heads into the second weekend.

Saturday saw a critical upsurge, and the film raked in 6.25 crore. This is an impressive 66 per cent increase on Friday’s 3.75 crore receipt. The leap was also complemented by a good occupancy rate of approximately 19.7 in the theatres, which was a sign of increasing word-of-mouth and weekend traffic. The movie was also selling well in theatres by registering 1.22 lakh on its first Saturday, making it one of the ten highest-selling Monday movies in BookMyShow in 2025 that were released in Bollywood.

To make it even more exciting, it is close to being among the highest-grossing Bollywood films of the year, in the top 10. Akshay Kumar already takes the lead with three releases: Housefull 5, Sky Force and Kesari Chapter 2. The latter is now ranked as the 10th one with 94.48 crore, translating to Jolly LLB 3 being 10.48 crore behind it. The film could probably violate that standard with another good day or two.

This might elevate Akshay Kumar as one of the few actors to ever receive 4 places in the list of highest-grossing movies of the year- something that the biggest names in the industry rarely achieve. The humour/legal drama chemistry between Kumar and Arshad Warsi, and the popularity of the franchise, have all led to the reason behind the upward trend of the film.

Providing the film is able to maintain its current weekend momentum and exploits the following weekdays, there is a possibility that it will keep climbing up the box office charts and rewrite the history of Akshay dominating the 2025 list.
