In the first speech after taking the post, Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan introduced four books on the strongest speeches of Prime Minister Narendra Modi under the title Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas (All Together, All Developed). The books (collected by the Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Sanjay Jaju) cover two periods: the first one is the speeches held during the period between June 2022 and May 2023, and the second is the comments from June 2023 to May 2024. The release of the words of the Prime Minister into a special collection of sayings highlighted by the Vice President, the continuity and richness of the vision that Modi has regarding the future of India.
In the event, Radhakrishnan pointed out the diplomatic skills of Modi. Despite the 50 percent tariff that the United States has placed on India, President Trump nonetheless refers to Modi as a great friend since the Indian leader continues to be a close partner of both himself and President Vladimir Putin. He also complimented the gap mending skills of Modi by stating that although there is geopolitical tension, Chinese President Xi 51 is another best friend of the Prime Minister. These types of friendships may make possible what seemed to be impossible, the Vice President commented, and a good commitment to serve others can defeat any challenge.
Radhakrishnan repeated the plans of India to go global as well: Indian ambition to be a global power is not power, it is global welfare, he said. “We are not out to impose conditions on other nations, but rather we want to elevate the human race as one; no single country, in particular, not the weakest, should be left out.” His comments echoed the theme of inclusive development, which is at the heart of the government of Modi.
It took place on the same day as the beginning of the Navratri celebration and the initial day of the simplified rollout of a Goods and Services Tax (GST) in India, which represented both cultural and economic revival. The incumbent Vice President succeeds the immediate past M.Venkaiah Naidu, and Jagdeep Dhankhar, who had also unveiled similar book launches in their reports.
Finally, the Minister of Railways, Ashwani Vaishnaw, praised the combination of service and politics of the Prime Minister. The milestones cited by Modi include 540 million Jan Dhan accounts, which is 540 million more than the entire population of Europe, and the rise in the number of public sanitation facilities, which was unprecedented even in Japan. He further said that 800 million Indians were now being served with rations continuously, and it demonstrated the largest food-security programme in the world. According to him, these accomplishments entrench the legacy of Modi as a transformational leader who can make vision a reality in terms of positive change for all citizens.
