The Super Four – Match 2 T20 between India and Pakistan at Dubai International Stadium, Dubai ended with a win for India, who successfully chased down a target of 172, winning the match by 6 wickets.
Abhishek Sharma anchored the innings with a brilliant 74 off 39, while Shubman Gill provided key support with 47 runs. Together, they guided India to 174/4 in 18.5 overs.
Pakistan finished on 171/5 from 20 overs, a score which India would be happy with. Why? Because at one stage, Pakistan were motoring along, scoring almost a 100 after 10 overs. India pulled things back in the middle order with Kuldeep Yadav and Shivam Dube applying the brakes and picking up wickets. India endured three dropped catches, which forces one to imagine that the Men in Blue could have restricted Pakistan to probably under 150 had the fielders hung on to their catches. Sahibzada Farhan top-scored with 58, while Dube picked up 2/33 for India.
