Durg. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted another raid in Durg on Thursday. A six-member ED team raided Sudhakar Raote’s home in HUDCO. The team is questioning Raote and examining documents related to the custom milling scam.
A six-member ED team arrived in two vehicles at Sudhakar Raote’s home in HUDCO early in the morning. The case is said to involve custom milling worth over ₹140 crore. The ED team is conducting raids in 10 different districts across the state in connection with the case.
It should be noted that the payment for custom milling was made only after paying Rs 20 per quintal. After compiling a list of millers who paid, the custom milling proceeds were disbursed to them. The ED has presented a 3,500-page invoice in this case, which also includes a 35-page summary.
