Bilaspur: The regular bail petition of the officials involved in the reagent scam was rejected in the High Court. The regular bail petition of the main mastermind and director of Mokshit Corporation Shashank Chopra in this case was rejected by the Supreme Court on September 8. In the hearing, the bail petition of CG MSC Deputy Director Dr Anil Parsai and Assistant Drug Controller Basant Kaushik was rejected. In July 2025, ED conducted raids at multiple locations in the scam worth Rs. 500 crore.

In the reagent scam committed by Mokshit Corporation, 6 accused including director Shashank Chopra are in jail. Apart from ED, ACB and EOW are also investigating the reagent scam. This entire scam is believed to be worth Rs 400 crore. In this, investigation against the arrested accused has been completed and challan has been presented. While an investigation against other accused is going on. After the arrest, Mokshit Corporation director Shashank Chopra along with officials of CGMSC and Health Department had filed a petition for regular bail. After the regular bail petition of Mokshit Corporation director Shashank Chopra was rejected by the High Court, he filed a petition for bail in the Supreme Court.

On the other hand, CGMAC Deputy Director Dr Anil Parsai and Assistant Drug Controller Basant Kaushik had filed a regular bail petition in the High Court. In the last hearing on the bail petition, their advocates had requested the court that the bail petition of the main accused Shashank Chopra is pending in the Supreme Court. His bail petition will be heard on September 8. The hearing should be held here after the bail petition is heard on September 8. On September 8, the regular bail petition of Shashank Chopra, director of Mokshit Corporation, was rejected in the Supreme Court.
