MBBS/BDS NEET UG 2025 counselling round 2 in Chhattisgarh will commence on September 13. The deadline for registration of qualified candidates will be September 17. Following the first round of the counselling program, 938 medical and dental colleges in total are empty, so the new phase commenced.
Authorities have made it clear that every candidate in this round will be required to do new registration, even those who had already registered. Registration should be completed by September 17, and the candidates have to complete their choice of institution by September 18. Besides new entries, those students who have already been allotted seats during the first round will be allowed to upgrade their allotment.
Aspirants have been directed by the Commissioner of Medical Education to visit the official site of the Directorate to get all the information regarding the counselling, including the list of vacant seats and any other information. The process of seat allotment and a detailed schedule will be announced after the National Medical Counselling Committee has revised its program. The state-level counselling committee will be responsible for conducting the allocation of the seats on a strictly merit-based basis.
To this, the upcoming 2025-26 MBBS seats have risen substantially in the state. With the consent that the National Medical Commission (NMC) has provided in the form of the Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB), three medical colleges have been permitted to increase their intake. In Bhilai, Bhilai Shri Shankaracharya Institute of Medical Sciences have also increased 50 seats each, increasing the capacity to 200 and 150 respectively. In Bhilai, Abhishek Mishra Memorial Medical College and Research also added 50 seats, bringing the capacity to 200 and 150, respectively. In the meantime, the Shri Balaji Institute of Medical Sciences in Raipur has increased its number of seats by 100 to a total of 250.
