Vice President Oath Ceremony: The oath-taking ceremony of 15th Vice President-elect, Chandrapuram Ponnusamy Radhakrishnan, is scheduled for today at Rashtrapati Bhawan in New Delhi.  The 15th Vice President of India will take the oath of office in the presence of dignitaries and leaders from across the nation. President Droupadi Murmu will administer the oath of office to Radhakrishnan.

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Karnataka Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Punjab Governor and Chandigarh Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria, Jharkhand Governor Santosh Gangwar, and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan have arrived in the national capital to attend Vice President oath ceremony. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai will also meet Union Ministers.

Radhakrishnan was elected as the Vice President of India on Tuesday. He had secured 452 votes against INDIA Bloc candidate and former Supreme Court judge B. Sudershan Reddy, who received 300 votes. Following the announcement of results, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Radhakrishnan and expressed confidence that the newly elected VP would strengthen India’s constitutional values and contribute positively to parliamentary discourse.
