Raipur. The Ganesh Visarjan tableau will be taken out on the old route in the capital on Monday night, 8 September. The tableau route will be divided into six sectors for security purposes and 800 police personnel and officers will be deployed there. DJ was banned during Ganeshotsav. Now firecrackers along with DJ have been banned in the Visarjan tableau. Along with CCTV cameras, drones will also be used for monitoring and recording on the tableau route.
Heavy vehicles will be stopped outside the city on this night. The tableaux will go from Sharda Chowk, Jayastambh Chowk, Kotwali Chowk, Sadar Bazar, Kankalipara, Purani Basti via Lakhe Nagar to Raipura Mahadev Ghat. Therefore, only devotees will be able to reach the said route on foot throughout the night. Vehicle parking spaces have been decided for their convenience.
After immersion of Ganesh idols in Mahadev Ghat, vehicles involved in tableaux will return via Amleswar or Bhatgaon. Similarly, on September 9, no vehicle will be allowed to come towards Amleswar from Kharun river bridge. Those coming from Amleswar will be able to travel via Bhatgaon, Kathadih, Datrenga. Vehicles going towards Tatibandh via GE Road from Telibandha-Shastri Chowk will go via Shastri Chowk, Kalibari, Pachpedhi Naka and Ring Road One. At the same time, vehicles will be able to travel via Station Road, Choubey Colony, Samta Colony from Fafadeep Chowk.
By 8 pm, all the roads leading to the tableau route will be closed with barricades. The tableaux will come from Rathore Chowk via Gurunanak Chowk, MG Road to Sharda Chowk. From here, they will take tokens and enter the tableau route and proceed towards Jaistambh Chowk. At Sharda Chowk, the tableaux coming from Tatyapara Chowk will be given entry through a one-by-one system.
The team deployed in civil clothes will arrest the suspects
According to senior police officials, strict security arrangements are being made. ASP level officers will be posted as in-charge in all sectors. Under them, TIs and SIs will handle security in small sectors. Police teams in plain clothes will also be deployed, who will investigate and arrest suspects. Strict action will be taken if drug addicts, suspicious people and banned items are found in the crowd on Jhaanki Marg.
