A recent leak has given us a potentially first glimpse at the already highly anticipated OnePlus 15 5G, suggesting a much more drastic change in design and improved specifications. The leaked render, which was published by tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore on X (formerly Twitter) features a radical new rear camera design and a new set of finishes, a significant departure in the design philosophy of OnePlus.
The OnePlus 15 5G no longer has the rounded-corner square-shaped camera module, like the older generation OnePlus 13, but a circular camera housing. This module will contain three sensors, which corresponds to the previous rumors, the company will not have the old-fashioned circular camera design, but will have a more sharp and more angular design. As per the leak, the product may come with three colour options, Black, Purple and Titanium, to satisfy the preferences of the users who appreciate traditional and high-end style.
Performance wise, there have been rumors about the OnePlus 15 5G having various storage and memory options. These are 12GB RAM and 256GB or 512GB internal storage and 16GB RAM with those same storage options. The highest-end model may include a huge 1TB of storage and 16GB of RAM. The device is reportedly going to be based on the next generation of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset, also known as Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, placing the OnePlus 15 exactly between the flagship smartphones of the current year.
Display and battery features are also likely to be spectacular. The phone is reportedly equipped with a 6.78-inch flat LTPO display with a 1.5K resolution and a refresh rate of up to 165Hz with a smooth display and responsive touch inputs. Its battery, which leaks indicate will be over 7,000mAh, may be the biggest highlight, paired with 100W wired charging.
