This is fortunate news to travellers in the state of Madhya Pradesh, and more so those travelling out of the state capital of Bhopal. Indian Railways has informed that in the run-up to the festival and peak travel season, it will add extra coaches in 28 mainline trains running through the Bhopal railway division to ease pressure. This is likely to alleviate this problem of seat deficiency that normally gives passengers sleepless nights, especially during such times as festivities when the traffic becomes its busiest.
As per the railway officials, an extra number of 9,380 seats will now be added where passengers will travel by trains, though they are connecting trains starting out here at Bhopal. The initiative will be of assistance to travellers going to various destinations that include Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Amritsar, among others. The trains that are going to obtain extra coaches are Malelela Bus Service and others, such as the Dakshin Express, Kamayani Express, and GT Express, among others.
There is a big reprieve as cosy sleeper coaches are being added to these trains as opposed to general coaches, where people stand in heaps. The fact that these incremental sleeper coaches will be charged the same fare as the general class is even more convenient to the passengers. This will imply that the passengers will be more comfortable without incurring any additional charges.
When it comes to train travel, there will constantly be a steep increase in demand during this festive season period when people are going great distances to reunite with their families. Rail transport is usually accused of being overcrowded and lacking seats, especially during such occasions. The Bhopal division has taken the initiation in order to make transportation comfortable for the passengers by adding additional coaches.
Authorities have also claimed that further such actions may appear in the future in case of further growth in demand. This project indicates the interest of the Railways to focus on the needs and comfort of its passengers, particularly during periods of increased demand.
