Nuh Violence: After two years, Haryana’s Nuh has once again erupted in the fire of riots. Violence has again erupted in Nuh. The dispute over parking of the vehicle took the form of a riot. After this, the rioters created a lot of ruckus. People were gathered by making an announcement from the mosque. The crowd pelted stones from the roofs of houses and shops.
Rioters threw glass bottles and set fire to motorcycles and shops, including those in slum areas, while police officers appeared unable to control the situation. A victim alleges the attack was motivated by caste animosity stemming from the 2023 Nuh riots.
As the commotion increased, police from the police stations of Rajasthan border were called, but the crowd remained uncontrolled for one and a half hours. The road was blocked and panic spread in the surrounding villages. Police has deployed 2 companies to control the situation.
According to the village sarpanch Ram Singh Saini, Isra’s son, a resident of the nearby village Hajipur, had parked his car in the middle of the road. Samay Singh, a resident of the village, came from behind and asked him to move the car. This led to an argument and it is alleged that the youth in the car attacked Samay Singh with a glass bottle. After this, people from both sides came face to face and stone pelting started. The sarpanch claims that about 10 people from his village have been injured. He said that the mob tried to give this dispute a Hindu-Muslim color, but the police controlled the situation in time.
