Following Pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir’s recent visit to the U.S., the United States has reaffirmed that its relationships with both Pakistan and India will remain unchanged, with U.S. diplomats committed to both countries.

When asked about Asim Munir’s meeting with President Trump, State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce said in a press briefing that US relationship with both nations shall remain unchanged for good as the diplomats continue to commit to both countries.

During a briefing, Bruce recalled the recent conflict between Pakistan and India, saying, “We had an experience with Pakistan and India, when there was a conflict, that could have developed into something quite horrible.”

“There was immediate concern and movement with the Vice President JD Vance, the President Donald Trump, and the Secretary of State Marco Rubio in addressing the nature of what was happening,” she added.

Meanwhile, Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif and Army Chief Asim Munir issued a fresh threat to India. The Pakistani leaders said on Tuesday that the “enemy” would not be allowed to snatch ‘even a single drop’ of water belonging to Pakistan. Referring to the series of punitive measures against Pakistan, it cautioned that any attempt to block water flow would be considered an act of war.

Earlier, World Bank President Ajay Banga made it crystal clear that they would not interfere in the suspension of the Indus Water Treaty between India and Pakistan. Amid heated global interest in the suspension of the pact brought about by the lethal terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam, Banga noted that the World Bank’s mandate is only to coordinate talks, not negotiations.
