NEW DELHI: Following a day of continuous rain, parts of Delhi-NCR experienced more showers on Monday morning. On Sunday, the city’s maximum temperature reached 38.4 degrees Celsius, while the minimum dropped to 25.1 degrees Celsius, which is two degrees cooler than the seasonal average. While there is no weather warning for today, the IMD has predicted very light rain or drizzle in Delhi for the day.
Delhi Airport has issued a passenger advisory at 08:13 Hrs by the IMD’s forecast. “Our on-ground teams are working diligently with all stakeholders to ensure your journey remains hassle-free”, read its advisory on X.
Weather Update For Delhi NCR
There is a yellow alert issued in the NCR region, including Gurugram, Faridabad, Rewari, Mewat, and Palwal, according to the regional IMD Chandigarh.
Sunday morning brought light to moderate rain across the capital, offering some respite from the high humidity. However, by evening, the rain intensified sharply. This comes after two consecutive days of moderate to heavy rainfall in Delhi, which had already left roads waterlogged and triggered major traffic snarls across key stretches on Friday and Saturday.
Isolated locations in Uttar Pradesh and East Rajasthan are expected to experience heavy to very heavy rainfall. Additionally, heavy rain is likely in Uttarakhand, eastern Uttar Pradesh, and western Rajasthan.
