Under ‘Jal Ganga Sanvardhan Abhiyan, the’ Sadanira Samagam’ will be launched by the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav, on June 20 at 6 PM at Bharat Bhavan. The Minister of Cultural Tourism and Religious Trust and Endowment (Independent Charge), Dharmendra Singh Lodhi, will be the presider of the event.

The launch will be opened with a screening of the short film Sadanira, directed by Rishikesh Pandey. A few books published by Clearly, CM Mohan Yadav will also release books published by Veer Bharat Trust, Madhya Pradesh Council of Science and Technology and Madhya Pradesh Tribal Folk Art and Dialect Development Academy, such as Sadanira, the Earth is the Land of Water, Amrit Jaldhara (four volumes) and Jal Dhara.

More than 200 great scholars, archaeologists, writers, journalists, actors, and theatre artists will participate in the event. The great Indian Cultural Advisor, accompanied by the Secretary of Veer Bharat Trust, Shriram Tiwari, explained to the news agency that the ‘Sadanira Samagam’ is one of its kind initiatives, and it is devoted to the enhancement of water resources and protection and conservation of its resources. The meeting will also focus on the acknowledgement of rivers and water bodies as important cultural heritage and spiritual sites that support life.

The movie Raga of River Narmada, directed by Rajendra Jangale, followed by interesting performances such as Sound of River by Smita Nagdev and Rahul Sharma, and dance drama by the name Hum Nawa, directed by Vidushi Sharma Bhate, can be considered as highlights of the event. Highlights of a vast photographic exhibition on early water works that will be organised by the Directorate of Public Relations will help to illuminate the Madhya Pradesh heritage of water conservation. Further, the aquatic life will be displayed in the shape of a game called Jalchar, arranged by the Madhya Pradesh Council of Science and Technology, Barkatullah University and the Regional Museum of Natural History, Bhopal.

The photos taken by Rajendra Jangale during his Narmada Parikrama is highly fascinating because he arranged an exhibition in the exhibition hall called ‘Amritasya Narmada’. This makes the celebration of ‘Sadanira Samagam’ a rare one.
