Jaipur: Sensation spread after three prestigious schools in the capital, Jaipur, received emails threatening to blow them up with bombs. The school administration came to know about these emails sent on Sunday, on Monday morning, after which the police and security agencies swung into action.

According to Additional Commissioner Law and Order Dr. Rameshwar, The Mayo College, Jai Shri Periwal School, and The Palace School have been threatened through email. As soon as the information was received, teams of the fire brigade, civil defense, dog squad, and police reached the spot, and a thorough search of the school premises was conducted.

Serious allegations were made in threats

The threatening mail claims that if a proper investigation is not conducted against the “rapist Divij” and the “Hyderabad rape victim” does not get justice, then bombs will be exploded in schools. The mail mentions the name of the accused as Divij P, father’s name as Prabhakar, and mother’s name as Lakshmi, and also makes serious objectionable allegations against Divij.

The mail said that the police have no power. They want bribes and we want justice. This is not a fake threat. Children should know why they are going to die. Give justice to the rape victim, or be ready to face the consequences.

This is not the first time Jaipur has received such threats. SMS stadium and other schools have received bomb threats five times before, but all of them turned out to be fake.

Cyber cell investigation, clues related to a foreign IP address

Initial investigation has revealed that the threatening emails have been sent from IP addresses of countries like Germany and the Netherlands. Police suspect that these have been sent through VPN, which helps hide the real location and identity. At present, the police have not been able to trace the real identity and location of the suspects. The cyber cell is engaged in investigation through technical analysis.

After the search operation in all three schools, no explosives or suspicious objects were found, due to which the police and administration heaved a sigh of relief. However, security agencies have been put on alert, and surveillance has been increased around the schools.
