India-Pakistan Conflict: Even after the India-Pakistan ceasefire, tensions between the two countries persist. After India’s diplomatic action, Pakistan has also taken action against an Indian diplomat. Pakistan has declared an employee of the Indian High Commissioner as Persona Non Grata and ordered him to leave the country within 24 hours. Accusing him of being involved in anti-national activities, Pakistan has declared him as “undesirable person” and ordered him to leave the country.
According to a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry of Pakistan, the Government of Pakistan has declared an employee of the Indian High Commissioner’s Office in Islamabad as persona non grata for his involvement in activities contrary to his special status. The Indian Charge d’Affaires has been informed of this decision to the Ministry.
Earlier on Tuesday, India expelled a Pakistani officer working in the Pakistan High Commission for alleged involvement in espionage. The Foreign Ministry said that the officer was not behaving in accordance with the dignity of his diplomatic post in India, so he has been asked to leave the country within 24 hours. Both India and Pakistan have taken this action amid increased tension after four days of military confrontation. India has also issued a protest letter to the Pakistani High Commissioner in New Delhi over the activities of the officer. The Foreign Ministry did not give information about the allegations leveled against the Pakistani officer, but according to sources, these allegations are related to a case of espionage, which is being investigated by the Punjab Police.
The Ministry of External Affairs said, “The Government of India has declared a Pakistani official serving in the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi as persona non grata for his involvement in activities inappropriate to his official position in India. The statement said, “The official has been asked to leave India within 24 hours. A letter of objection has been issued in this regard to the Charge d’Affaires of the Pakistan High Commission today.
