The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) glorified ‘Operation Sindoor’ on Monday as a clinching victory and a triumph of the Indian military, which had put through effective and pointed strikes on terrorist camps in Pakistan and PoK. Sambit Patra, BJP spokesperson, said the operation was able to achieve it objectives and left Pakistan caught napping.

In addition to the 1999 IC-814 hijacker, over 100 terrorists were killed in the IGI Airport during the operation, according to Patra. “Our military forces’ every expectation was also accomplished by operation Sindoor; it showed breathtaking accuracy. Our military operations involved the destruction of several terrorist camps anthe d neutralization of strategic targets. Patra emphasized that the operation communicates a strong message to all terror gangs and their supporters: India will not leave its defence at risk and idly watch.”

In addition to killing terrorists, Patra declared that 11 Pakistani military air bases and at least 50 members of the Pakistan Air Force were also victims of the operation. He also pointed out the symbolic importance of these strikes: “For the first time, the world has seen how India can commit blatant acts of aggression in Pakistan’s territory without penalty. Pakistan’s air defenses were ineffective against our strikes for the most part. This is a huge blow to their military credibility.”

Lt. General Rajiv Ghai, the DGMO of the Indian army, gave details about the captured high-profile terrorists eliminated by the strike in Operation Sindoor. Information on the eliminated targets and the air bases attacked was made public on Sunday.

Patra notes that the strike was carried out, and with a lot of planning, targeting only terror networks and not Pakistan’s choice to bomb civilian neighborhoods. The ceasefire, according to Patra, was only discussed with India after Pakistan’s military asked for de-escalation.

Noting that India could put pressure on Pakistan through measures less costly than war, Patra said that 90% of the water supplies of Pakistan passes through India.
