New Delhi: The banks in multiple states will remain closed on May 12 due to the celebration of Buddha Purnima on Monday. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) advisory suggests that banks will not remain operational in multiple states due to the festival.
Banks are closed on May 12, 2025 in Tripura, Mizoram, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Arunachal Pradesh, Jammu, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, New Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh, Srinagar on account of Buddha Purnima.
Banks To Remain Closed In THESE Cities
The advisory from RBI suggests that the banks will remain closed in multiple cities, including Belapur, Kolkata, Dehradun, Jammu, Lucknow, Mumbai, New Delhi, Raipur, Shimla, Ranchi, Itanagar, Kanpur, Ranchi, and Shimla. The advisory suggested that customers to choose online banking facilities in case of emergency on Monday.
