Tibet Earthquake: When the people of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar were in deep sleep at midnight on Sunday, suddenly the earth started shaking. The strong tremors of the earthquake that struck Tibet at 2:41 am Indian time shook not only the locals but also the people of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), the earthquake’s intensity was measured 5.7 on the Richter scale. Its epicenter was located at a depth of 10 kilometers from the ground in the Tibet region. However, no information has been received about any loss of life or property so far.

The earthquake tremors were so strong that people in many parts of North India, especially in the border areas of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, woke up from sleep. Many people came out of their homes in fear. People also shared their experiences on social media, where some talked about mild tremors, while some called it scary. However, it is a matter of relief that no news of any loss of life or property has been reported so far due to this earthquake.

Actually, a big earthquake was felt in Tibet at around 2 o’clock in the night. This has shaken Tibet. The earthquake was so strong that Tibetans sleeping at midnight ran out of their houses in fear.

Tibet is vulnerable to earthquakes

NCS said that the epicentre of this earthquake was in Tibet and its intensity was moderate to high. Experts say that the Himalayan region is extremely sensitive from the earthquake point of view and such incidents keep happening from time to time. NCS also said that they are keeping an eye on the geological movements in the region, so that any danger can be assessed in time.
