Houses of 2 Lashkar Terrorists destroyed in blast; firing reported across LoC

As protests and candlelight marches continue across India following the Pahalgam terror Attack that killed 26 people, firing was reported from Pakistani posts across the Line of Control.

On Thursday night, April 24, incidents of small arms firing were reported at several locations along the LoC, initiated by Pakistan Army. The firing was effectively responded to.

The houses of two Lashkar-e-Taiba( LeT) terrorist, Asif Sheikh, believe to be involved in Pahalgam attack, were destroyed in Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday night, April 24.

This comes after Prime Minister Narendra Modi vowed to hunt down the gunmen responsible for the Pahalgam Attack.

Security forces were carrying out search operations at the residences of two LeT terrorists - Adil Hussain Thokar and Asif Sheikh, when explosives already planted inside the houses detonated.

The explosives caused the destruction of the houses.

Thokar, a resident of south Kashmir's Anantag District, a key accused in Pahalgam Attack, while Sheikh, a resident of Tral in Pulwama District is suspected to be involved in the conspiracy of the attack.

Adil Hussain Thokar has been declared the most wanted, and the Anantnag Police have offered a reward of Rs. 20 lakh for any specific information leading to his arrest.

In addition, two Pakistani Nationals have also been declared most wanted in the case.
