Bhopal: The IT Conclave in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, has successfully hosted the Agriculture Conclave in Mandsaur on May 3. This is an endeavor by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav in his larger pursuit to add impetus to employment, raise farmers’ income, and turn agriculture into a remunerative enterprise in the state.

On Thursday, CM Dr. Mohan Yadav spoke to the media and asserted that his government is working continually to allow the youth to earn and empower the rural economy through the creation of self-employment. Besides this, the state is organizing two major events — the Indore conclave of the IT industry on April 27 and the Mandsaur conclave of agriculture on May 3.

The purpose of the Mandsaur conclave is for farmers to get exposed to the country’s modern techniques and innovative practices. Knowledge sharing and collaboration amongst stakeholders in the agriculture sector, such as experts, policymakers, and progressive farmers, will be facilitated during this event as a platform.

Dr Yadav also referred to the welfare schemes being implemented to enrich farmers in the Malwa region as well as across Madhya Pradesh. Already, some key steps are being taken to encourage high-yield crops, improve the productivity of livestock, and promote modern agricultural innovations. What’s more, the state government is also striving to extend the practice of solar pumps to farmers, cut their dependence on high electricity costs, and reduce their monetary burden.

“This prosperity is derived directly from the well-being of its farmers. Madhya Pradesh will also do well if our farmers prosper,” said Dr Yadav. He repeated that the government is steadfast in focusing on the welfare of youth, women, and farmers, and will strive to build a sustainable and self-reliant future for all.
