Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudeo Sai starts his two-day official visit to Mumbai to review the industrial progress and key administrative reviews. Early in the morning, he left Raipur to attend a prime exhibition at the Bombay Exhibition Center at 1 PM, and will depart from there. He will attend in the evening, particularly with the most important investors of the textile and steel sectors.
CM Vishnudeo Sai will act as a distinguished guest at the two-day event at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, where the role will be to support Chhattisgarh in being an attractive destination for industrial investment. On the second day of the visit, the new industrial policy of Chhattisgarh will be presented to a national forum in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which is a historic event in the state’s path to economic development. CM Sai is also scheduled to attend the CMAI Fab Show and will reach out directly to investors in the textile industry to bring in fresh money in the state.
However, in Raipur, zonal review meetings on the supply of drinking water to the city are also underway. The Municipal Corporation’s Water Works Department head, Santosh Seema Sahu, will chair these meetings that run from April 23 to 25. Also, there will be an evaluation of the progress of the AMRUT Mission and the 24×7 water supply scheme. The second two focus areas today (April 22) are Zones 5 and 7 followed by Zones 1 and 2 (April 23) and Zones 10 and 8 (April 24).
The state has also started the ‘Mukhyamantri Good Governance Fellow Scheme’ in coordination with IIM Raipur. It has an initiative, which means that it gives a postgraduate course in Public Policy and Governance, and hands-on training in government departments. The state government will fund the whole program with a ₹50,000 a month stipend for selected fellows.
