Mumbai: The Sunny Deol starrer Jaat was released in theatres on April 10. After a good opening weekend, the film witnessed a dip in its box office numbers. However, Jaat minted Rs 7.5 crore on its first Monday in theatres, reported the leading industry tracker. The film recorded an overall 16.26% Hindi occupancy on April 14. Taking the day 5 figures into account, Jaat‘s total box office collection now stands at Rs 47.75 crore, the report added.
Famous film critic Taran Adarsh wrote on X, “The partial holiday on Monday [#AmbedkarJayanti] gave #Jaat yet another opportunity to strengthen its position, pushing the film closer to the ₹ 50 cr mark. All eyes are now on the crucial Tuesday [working day] – it’s a wait-and-watch situation at the moment”.
Jaat is the go-to choice for the audience since there aren’t many options at the ticket window. On Friday, there will be a new competitor – Kesari Chapter 2 and the tables may turn! In 5 days, Sunny Deol starrer has accumulated 47.92 crore net. Today, it will clock a small milestone by hitting the half-century, given there isn’t a major drop.
