FITJEE Controversy: The FITJEE coaching centre located in Noida Sector 62 is once again in controversy. After charging huge fees from the parents, the coaching centre was suddenly shut down. The same coaching center is being run again through a franchise, through which an attempt is being made to defraud lakhs of rupees again. A large number of parents are protesting outside the coaching centre against FITJEE centre. The parents said, we want our money back.
Parents have alleged that FITJEE had suddenly shut down the coaching center after charging a fee of Rs 5-6 lakh. The teachers resigned overnight, and the students’ studies were put on hold. Now the center in Sector 62, Noid,a has been restarted through a franchise. It is being called FITJEE 2.0. Some students have even started taking classes.
Satsang Kumar, a protesting parent, said, ‘We were sent a long mail asking us to resume classes. We sent so many emails to FITJEE about what happened to us earlier but did not receive any reply. How can we be sure that this will not happen again? We want our money back.’
The families of the students said that many people complained to the Police Commissioner, after which the FIRs of Noida and Greater Noida were merged, and an SIT was formed. DCP Shakti Awasthi is monitoring this investigation.
These allegations on a reputed brand like FITJEE have also raised questions on transparency and trust in the coaching industry. When the future of students is left in limbo despite paying lakhs of fees, the concern and anger of parents are both justified. Now it remains to be seen what comes out in the SIT investigation and whether FITJEE will be able to restore trust this time or not.
