Bhopal Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has congratulated the citizens of the state on Mahavir Jayanti. He said that Lord Mahavir gave the message of humanity, non-violence and goodwill to the then society which is relevant even today. The CM has wished for the success of the programs being organized on Mahavir Jayanti in the state. He performed Arti at river Narmada and shared its glimpses.
On the other hand, CM Dr Mohan posted on his social media account and wrote – Ahimsa Paramo Dharma: Best wishes to all of you on the occasion of Bhagwan Mahavir Jayanti. The life of Bhagwan Mahavir, the 24th Tirthankar of Jainism, is a light of non-violence, truth, non-stealing, celibacy and non-possession. Your teachings will always guide us for human welfare and the creation of a civilized society.
Mahavir Jayanti is being celebrated with great pomp in Madhya Pradesh. Processions are being taken out in all the big cities and Jain pilgrimage sites of the state, including Indore. There are 5 big pilgrimage sites of Jain community in the state. These include Muktagiri in Betul, Baavangaja in Barwani, Gommatgiri in Indore, Kundalpur in Damoh and Mohankheda of Dhar. Here too, lakhs of devotees are expected to reach on Mahavir Jayanti.
