Mumbai: Sunny Deol’s highly awaited film Jaat hit theaters today, April 10, marking a robust return to the big screen. Directed by Gopichand Malineni and featuring an impressive ensemble that includes Randeep Hooda, Viineet Kumar Singh, and Regina Cassandra, the film promises intense action and emotional storytelling.
Ahead of the official launch, a star-studded screening in Mumbai on April 8 set the tone, with Randeep Hooda, Urvashi Rautela, and the legendary Dharmendra captivating the audience with their lively dance moves. In an exuberant Instagram video, Sunny Deol is seen dancing to dhol beats, exuding sheer desi swag, as a giant cutout adorned with majestic garlands loomed in the background. Fans have drawn parallels between this glamorous screening and the grandeur of a Pan-India film launch, reflecting the high expectations following the success of ‘Gadar 2’.

Jaat Opening Day Box Office Collection
According to early predictions, Jaat’s opening collection will be in the range of Rs 6 to 10 crore. As per the industry tracker, the Sunny Deol film sold 1,13,299 tickets in advance booking. The collection is anticipated to be Rs 2.37 crore. With block booking, the figure touched Rs 6.27 crore. Spot bookings are excluded from this data.
Talking about the film with Zoom, Sunny said, “We all feel related to farmers. We are Jat. I, my father (Dharmendra)—hum vaha se hi hai. Jo humare log hote hain, vo har tarah ki cheez ko seh lete hain (they tolerate everything), but they never give up. Takleef bhi sahenge (they will tolerate hardships), but they will keep going and find a way.”
