Featuring among other pilgrimage across India, the Kedarnath Yatra is visited by lakhs of devotees each year. Kedarnath Temple is a sacred Char Dham yatra that is located in the Garhwal Himalayan range of Uttarakhand. Helicopter services are also provided to pilgrims for the yatra season every year to make the journey simple. Booking services for helicopters began online today at noon and says travel dates for May 2 to May 31, 2025.

Tickets for pilgrims can be booked only through the official Heliyatra website operated by IRCTC. Nevertheless, before you book that booking for a helicopter ticket to Kedarnath, you also need to register for the Kedarnath Yatra on the official Uttarakhand Tourism Department portal.

  1. Visit the Uttarakhand tourism portal.
  2. The user should sign up if he is new; if he is returning, he should log in using his credentials.
  3. Select the start and end dates for the tour, the number of pilgrim and their individual date of visit to create a tour plan.
  4. Finally, fill in the pilgrimage details and download the registered Yatra letter.

After registering for the yatra, pilgrims can go further and book helicopter services in the Heliyatra portal.

Steps to Book Helicopter Services:

  1. You will need to sign up on the Heliyatra portal and verify details by OTP sent on your phone and email.
  2. Fill in the Yatra registration number and log in.
  3. Choose your date, time slot, and traveller count.
  4. The transaction is completed by choosing a payment method.
  5. Receive booking confirmation.

According to eUttaranchal, a helicopter shuttle may cost ₹6,063 (Phata), ₹6,061 (Sirsi) and ₹8,533 (Guptkashi) for a round trip. It allows you each to book a maximum of two tickets up to six passengers. Refunds are 5–7 working days, with no refund for any cancellations within 24 hours of departure.
