Actor Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna’s film Sikandar, released on March 30, was one of the most awaited releases of 2025. On the other hand, on March 27, L2: Empuraan made an unimaginable record on its first day on the big screen. Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, the film has received a lot of love from the audience. The opening day collection of the film is more than double the previous highest for a Malayalam film. Take a look at the box office collection of both the films.
According to a report, Sikandar earned Rs 26 crore on its first day, but the number seemed a bit low considering Salman Khan’s track record of giving massive openings on Eid. Sikandar collected Rs 175 crore on its ninth day, taking its total collection to Rs 175 crore.
The film L2: Empuraan had a good start, but the film seemed to be faltering due to its big budget. The film, which started with a collection of 21 crores, was reduced to a collection of 11 crores on the second day. The film collected 88.25 crores in the first week. On the other hand, if we talk about the earnings of the 12th day, it has done business of 0.94 crores till now. The total box office collection of the film is Rs 99.29 crores.
Apart from Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna, the film Sikandar, directed by A.R. Murugadoss, also stars Kajal Aggarwal, Prateek Babbar, Satyaraj, Kishore, and Sharman Joshi.
