CBI Raid in CG: The CBI team raided the residence of former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel in Raipur and Bhilai this morning. Apart from this, the CBI has also raided the residences of his former political advisor senior journalist Vinod Verma, IPS Sheikh Arif, IPS Anand Chhabra, IPS Abhishek Maheshwari, IPS Abhishek Pallav, former IAS Anil Tuteja, Additional SP Sanjay Dhruv, IPS Prashant Agarwal and Congress MLA Devendra Yadav.
According to sources, this action on the premises of former CM Bhupesh Baghel, leaders and officials is related to the Mahadev Satta App case.
Bhupesh Baghel’s reaction on CBI action
Reacting to CBI raid in CG, Bhupesh Baghel posted on Twitter that now CBI has arrived. He informed that former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel is scheduled to go to Delhi today for the meeting of the “Drafting Committee” constituted for the AICC meeting to be held in Ahmedabad (Gujarat) on 8 and 9 April. Even before that, CBI has reached Raipur and Bhilai Niwas.
ED has already raided Bhupesh Baghel’s house
Let us tell you that on March 10, the ED team raided Bhupesh Baghel’s Bhilai residence. ED officials questioned the former Chief Minister and his family for 11 hours. During this, documents, gold and silver jewelry were examined. Also, mobile phones and call details of family members were examined. ED recovered Rs 33 lakh in cash from Bhupesh Baghel’s house.
