Rajgarh: Several new industries have been recently set up in Madhya Pradesh’s Rajgarh region at an investment of ₹500 crore. According to Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, industrial units are to be set up in different sectors for the development of the economy and employment. During the recently held Global Investors Summit in Bhopal, he had emphasized that investment proposals worth ₹30 lakh crore were received, which is beneficial to every region of the state.

CM Dr Mohan Yadav dedicated projects worth crores for Rajgarh district on Sunday. During the function on his Jayanti day, he performed bhoomi pujan (foundation stone laying) of development projects that cost ₹12.83 crore, and inaugurated the newly built ₹40.62 crore Shaurya Smarak (War Memorial) and district hospital building. He also laid foundation stones of a new Basera, a new school building, and a law college. Later, he also announced that after the district hospital becomes a medical college, there would soon be a medical college at Rajgarh.

The Chief Minister has also mentioned the upcoming Ramganj Mandi to Bhopal railway line (275 km long) that will enhance the connectivity in the area. Speaking about progress under the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, he said the country is witnessing rapid development across all sectors. Specially, every assembly constituency will soon have a helipad to promote regional connectivity.

However, Dr Mohan Yadav asked farmers not to sell their land as the Parvati-Kalisindh Chambal river linking irrigation project would be a blessing to the area. Rajgarh will be transformed both as a geography and the fortunes of the area under this project. Apart from this, he also announced the installation of 10 lakh solar-powered irrigation pumps in one year, which had been increased to 30 lakh in three.

Furthermore, although the state government is putting efforts into women’s empowerment through initiatives to allow them to be self-employed. Financial independence and entrepreneurship of women will be promoted through incentives of ₹5,000 per female worker in women-centric industries, given that the major industries are in the readymade garment sector.
