PM Modi Podcast: PM Narendra Modi has done his first international podcast with American AI researcher Lex Fridman. Lex Fridman took a podcast (interview) of PM Modi for 3 hours. During this, PM Modi answered questions related to Godhra incident, Pakistan, China, RSS, Nawaz Sharif, Donald Trump and Elon Musk, including personal life. Regarding Pakistan, PM said that he always got betrayal from there.
PM Narendra Modi said that whenever we talk about peace, the world listens to us because India is the land of Gautam Buddha and Mahatma Gandhi. When I shake hands with world leaders, it is not Modi but 1.4 billion Indians who do so. Referring to his childhood poverty, he said that my childhood was spent in extreme poverty, I collected used chalk in school and used it to shine my white shoes. Regarding the Godhra incident, PM Modi said that a false story was fabricated about the Godhra riots, the courts acquitted us. Regarding President Trump, PM Modi said that he seems to be much more prepared in his second term than before.
Godhra incident: On 27 February 2002, when my government was about to present the budget, we got to know about the Godhra train incident. People were burnt alive. You can imagine what the situation must have been after all the previous incidents. There were more than 250 major riots before 2002. The 1969 riots lasted for 6 months. At that time the opposition was in power, and they tried their best to get us convicted in false cases. Despite their efforts, the judiciary analysed the entire incident in detail. The accused involved in the incident have been punished. There has been no major incident after 2002.
Pakistan has always betrayed: PM Modi said in 2014 that when I was about to take oath as Prime Minister for the first time, I had specially invited Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. It was hoped that both countries would start a new chapter. However, every noble effort for peace was met with hostility and betrayal. The people of Pakistan want peace. They too must be tired of living in conflict, unrest and constant terror. We hope that Pakistan will come to its senses and adopt the path of peace.
Cricket with Pakistan: On being asked about Team India’s dominance against its arch-rival Pakistan in recent years, PM Modi said, “I am not a sports expert and neither do I know about the technical aspects of this game. Only experts can answer this. But a few days ago a match was played between India and Pakistan. The result of the match shows which team is better. This is how we know it.
