On the day of Holi, the police station in charge (TI) Sanjay Pathak died of a heart attack while performing his duty in Indore of Madhya Pradesh. When Pathak was suddenly hit by severe chest pain in Betma, a rural location in Indore, he was sent there. He was rushed to the Bombay hospital, where unfortunately, he passed away before meeting the medical facility.
TI Sanjay Pathak’s sudden demise came as a shock to the police department. News of the crash was quickly spread and senior officials were immediately informed and rushed to the hospital. Pathak hailed from Bhopal and was initially posted at the IG office. He was unexpectedly passed away by his colleagues and subordinates.
In respect, the Holi Milan ceremony, scheduled to be held at DRP Line on Saturday, was cancelled after this heartbreaking event. Dr. Mohan Yadav, the Chief Minister, expressed grief over Pathak’s death. He took to social media and wrote that he is “extremely saddened to hear about the untimely demise of the dedicated Madhya Pradesh police inspector Sanjay Pathak, who had a heart attack while on duty in Betma, Indore. My heartfelt condolences to his bereaved family. His love for public service shall always live in remembrance.”
Pathak’s death was also paid tribute to by DGP Kailash Makwana, who tweeted in condolence. “TI Sanjay Pathak had a heart attack while performing his Holi duty in Indore rural zone,” he said. “Unfortunately, he could not survive. My humble tribute to him.”
The loss of a dedicated officer whilst serving the public has saddened the whole police force and administration. His duty shall never be forgotten.
