Satna: On February 24, a tragic road accident took place at Satna when a car carrying pilgrims returning from the Prayag Kumbh Mela 2025 collided with a truck. Dr Kirti Pamo, resident of Hyderabad, was among the injured who were declared critical by doctors. So, she was immediately admitted to a private hospital in Satna for emergency treatment. Nevertheless, doctors said that the critical nature of her injuries warranted her to be carried to a highly advanced medical center for the best treatment.
Dr. Pamo’s family was faced with this urgent need and had to seek help from Minister of State Pratima Bagri. After hearing about the situation, the minister allowed the family of the injured to meet Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav in Rampur Baghelan. CM Yadav understood the gravity of the case and immediately assured the arrangement of an air ambulance to transfer Dr. Pamo to Hyderabad for specialised medical care.
The government worked swiftly, following which an airlift was arranged, and the treatment provided to Dr. Pamo is now underway at Hyderabad. In this difficult time, CM Dr. Mohan Yadav and Minister Pratima Bagri were immediately responsive and showed their immense support, for which her family was very grateful.
Four people were injured when the vehicle crashed into a truck while the driver lost control of the vehicle. Dr. Pamo was critical, and air transport was the only way—they all suffered minor injuries and the crucial fragment was thrown about 1,000 yards (914 m) in several directions. But thanks to the state government’s prompt intervention, the life-saving transfer was averted and it also stood by the commitment to public welfare and emergency assistance.
