Morena: An assault and firing incident, including a councilor, has been made public. The councilor who objected to reckless and high-speed driving near his residence was attacked after that. He suffered serious head injuries as a result of the assault. CCTV footage captured the whole incident.
After the attack, the Superintendent of Police (SP) bungalow was surrounded by the councilor’s supporters who, in protest, demanded strict action against the accused.
It happened at the residence of Ward No. 24, Councilor Pradeep Yadav. According to reports, the assault was carried out by local residents Saurabh Yadav, his friend Saurabh Gurjar, and their associates. The problem began after the councilor saw Saurabh Yadav’s Scorpio driven by him recklessly close to his house. Pradeep Yadav was also concerned about a possible accident and asked him to drive more cautiously. Strangely, to demand they comply with this seemingly simple request angered the miscreants, who turned violent rather than comply.
Within minutes of a meeting, the accused and its group attacked the councilor and his family members. The assault turned violent and, in some cases, to gunfire. The CCTV footage shows, and it is clear, stone pelting and a brutal attack.
In response to the incident, the supporters and the counselor gathered in large numbers and demanded immediate action from the culprits, who created a noisy hum outside the SP bungalows. After the protest, the Station Road Police filed a case and began search operations to arrest the accused.
Authorities said they would take strict action against the guilty people, and an investigation is ongoing. The locals have reacted with outrage, bewildered by concerns about law and order in the area.
