Singrauli. Aditya Birla Group’s flagship company Hindalco Industries in Bhopal has signed an agreement with the Madhya Pradesh government to invest ₹15,000 crore. This investment will be made in the next two years. Hindalco has already invested ₹25,000 crore in Mahan Aluminium in Bargawan, Singrauli.
At the Investor Summit, Hindalco MD Satish Pai said that the company is going to develop coal mines in Hindalco Mahan along with aluminum. On this occasion, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav held discussions with representatives of the Aditya Birla Group, which also included Grasim MD HK Agarwal and Essel Mining MD Thomas Cherian.
Speaking on the occasion, S. Senthilnath, Unit Head, Hindalco Mahan said, “This investment will not only increase Hindalco’s production capacity but will also create new employment opportunities for the local communities. The company is committed to sustainable development and social upliftment.” This new initiative of Hindalco will boost aluminum production in the state, increase job opportunities, and accelerate economic growth. Also, UltraTech Cement and Grasim VSF divisions are also working on their independent projects in MP.
