On February 11, the United States Counsel General Mike Hankey visited Gwalior. During this, he discussed industrial investment in the Gwalior Chambal region with the officials of the Chamber of Commerce and Industries. Mike Hankey, posted at the United States Consulate in Mumbai, also expressed the better possibility of investment in defense, statistics technology, minerals and other sectors. Big industrialists of the region also believe that through GIS, big investments can be received in the Gwalior Chambal region along with MP from USA and other countries.
America now considers China as its competitor and not its strategic partner in other areas including defense. This is the reason that just as other countries are going to invest in Madhya Pradesh through GIS, USA has also taken steps from its side.
