The UP Board Class 10 and 12 exams begin from February 24, 2025 and conclude by March 12, 2025. The examinations will be conducted in 12 working days. Nevertheless, prior to the commencement of the exams, the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has withdrawn a major change to the exam schedule scheduled for Prayagraj because of the Mahakumbh 2025 that the authorities have already witnessed.
The Class 10 and Class 12 exams scheduled for February 24 in the Prayagraj district would be held on March 9, 2025, UP Board officials confirmed in an official statement on Friday. This, however, is applicable only to Prayagraj and exams in other districts will continue as per the original schedule.
However, this change only covers the Class 10 and Class 12 exams of Prayagraj scheduled for February 24, said UP Board Secretary Bhagwati Singh. “As per the pre-determined timetable, exams will be held in other districts.”
Class 10 students of students were scheduled to appear for their Hindi (Preliminary) and Healthcare papers, while Class 12 students had Military Science, Hindi and General Hindi exams. The exams were scheduled in two shifts; the morning shift, from 8:30 A.M. to 11:45 A.M. and the afternoon shift, from 2:00 P.M. to 5:15 P.M. These exams will be conducted on March 9, 2025, now, for students of Prayagraj.
This year, a total of 54,38,597 students will be attempting the UP Board exams after they qualified for the Class 10 and Class 12 categories as 27,40,151 and 26,98,446 students, respectively. The exams in 2024 commenced on 22 February and terminated on 9 March. With the expectation of rescheduling due to Mahakumbh 2025 aimed to facilitate the smooth conduct of exams plus manage the big crowd of pilgrims to reach Praygraaj, this would happen.
