Many Pakistan Army soldiers have been injured in this shelling, in which 4-5 soldiers have also died. According to Indian Army officials, the Indian Army gave a befitting reply to the unprovoked firing from across the LoC in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir. A large number of Pakistani soldiers are reported to have been killed in the army’s retaliatory action.

According to the Indian Army, Pakistan violated the ceasefire in the Krishna Ghati sector. All this was done at a time when a day earlier, two soldiers including a Captain lost their lives in an IED blast carried out by suspected terrorists near the LoC in Akhnoor sector.

LG will review security

In view of the conspiracies being continuously hatched by Pakistan on the border, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha will hold a high-level security review meeting in Jammu today. Apart from the Lieutenant Governor, Jammu and Kashmir DGP Nalin Prabhat, senior officials of Jammu and Kashmir Police, IGP Jammu will be present in this meeting.
