The Maharashtra Cyber Cell on Wednesday (February 12, 2025) registered a case against YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia and others associated with India’s Got Latent following the controversy surrounding remarks made by Mr. Allahbadia in an episode, which triggered widespread outrage online.
Allahbadia, known for his YouTube channel BeerBiceps, issued a public apology following the uproar. In a video shared on his X account, he acknowledged that his comments were inappropriate and insensitive. He admitted that the remark was not only inappropriate but also lacked humour. Allahbadia also stated that comedy was not his forte and expressed regret over his lapse in judgment. “My comment wasn’t just inappropriate, it wasn’t even funny. Comedy is not my forte, I am just here to say sorry,” Allahbadia said.
“It is my job to come here for rounds. I did not go to his residence, I took rounds downstairs. I have not given any notice to anyone,” one of two police officials seen leaving the residence of Allahbadia, said on Tuesday.
He added, “I am the best master, we came here in the morning as well only for rounds…I do not have orders to check anything about him.”
Earlier, the official said, “We do not have any information regarding this. As a beat master, we have to come here for rounds. We have just come here for security reasons…”
