Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav visited the historic Sensoji Temple in Tokyo yesterday on the second day of his Japan visit. He prayed to Lord Gautam Buddha and said there are significant spiritual and cultural roots between India and Japan.

CM Dr. Mohan Yadav also spoke at the temple and said, “Lord Gautam Buddha is an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Mahatma Gautam Buddha brought the message of nonviolence into the world. The ideas that he proposed still inspire people from all over the world. He is regarded as an avatar of the Lord Vishnu, symbolizing peace and ‘enlightenment’ in India.”

On the occasion, the Chief Minister also talked about new opportunities for India-Japan economic ties. On trade, business, and employment opportunities, he said meetings are underway with investors and ministers. Talking off the record, he expressed optimism regarding his efforts to transfer Japanese technology to Madhya Pradesh, where it could play a role in its development.

“We are trying to understand Japan’s culture and traditions,” CM Yadav added. “Lord Buddha’s blessings will bless Japan and India and help them prosper. Japan and India have historic and spiritual ties. Indo-Japanese Partnership forms an important part of PM Modi’s vision, and we are here to support that vision by meeting with investors and stakeholders.”

MP Chief Minister’s visit to Japan today is indicative of the country’s keenness to advance bilateral relations with Japan and further investment in economic transference as well as technological developments that can be mutually beneficial to the two countries. He is looking to forge new opportunities between Japanese investors and officials to grow collaboration, trade, and investment between the two countries, which have a strong friendship.
