The third edition of the Kashi Tamil Sangamam (KTS 3.0) is planned to start from February 15 and will be brought into various places like Narayan Ghat at Varanasi, Ayodhya, Prayagraj and more. This major cultural event will focus on the classical epic of Tamil literature, the Siddha system of medicine (popular as Bharatiya Chikitsa) and several complexes of Tamil culture. The event as well as the aims and objectives of the initiative, were revealed on Wednesday by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

KTS 3.0 will be focused on developing the cultural sensitivity of the people of Tamil Nadu particularly the students of IT, in order to realize the connection between Tamil Nadu and Varanasi. It is also in accordance with the event of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, a campaign that envisages the bringing together of a ‘United India’ in its diversification. He said that it would be a noble step in the end by which people of Tamil Nadu could come closer to the other states and, at the same time, make Tamil Nadu proud by bringing out their traditions.

The major difference of KTS 3.0 this year incorporates 1000 people from various fields, including students, teachers, farmers, skilled and unskilled labourers, professionals, small-scale industries, women and researchers from Tamil Nadu. Also, 200 students from Tamil Nadu studying Central Government affiliated institutions all over India will also be joining the delegation.

Being hosted by the IIT Madras, the registration for the event has been started, and the link to register is still open till February. The winners of the Tamil quiz competition later on the 2nd of February will be the only eligible participants to be shortlisted for registration. The list of the final delegates for KTS 3.0 will be issued on February 5, with BHU, Varanasi, as the main receiver point.
