Balodabazar. The birthday of former Prime Minister of India Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee is being celebrated as Good Governance Day. On this occasion, the district administration organized a goodwill race and cleanliness campaign in the district, in which Chhattisgarh Revenue Minister Tankaram Verma participated.
Good Governance Day is observed annually in India on December 25th, commemorating the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Established in 2014, it aims to foster awareness of accountability in government. The day emphasizes the importance of transparent and efficient governance, encouraging active citizen participation. Good Governance Day serves as a reminder of the government’s commitment to providing citizen-centric and effective administration.

Minister Tankaram Verma participated in the cleanliness drive to spread awareness about cleanliness along with the Sadbhavna Run. On this occasion, he paid tribute to Atal Bihari Vajpayee by garlanding his portrait and lighting a lamp.
Collector Deepak Soni, administrative officers, public representatives and a large number of youth and children participated in the program and also took oath. On this occasion, children presented a cultural program, while Revenue Minister Tankaram Verma sang the hymn Hare Krishna, Hare Ram.
Revenue Minister Tankaram Verma said on this occasion that the state of Chhattisgarh was created by former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Today we are all moving on the path shown by him, and we are celebrating his birthday as Good Governance Day.
