Delhi Airport Advisory after Dense Fog: Delhi International Airport (IGI) has issued an advisory to passengers due to dense fog. In this, the airport has also informed the passengers about the problems in flight operations due to dense fog.

Delhi Airport said in the advisory that flights not equipped with CAT III compliant may be delayed or cancelled. “Flights that are not CAT III compliant may be affected and passengers are requested to contact the airline for the latest information related to the flight,” IndiGo Airlines has currently advised passengers to check the status of the flight before going to the airport.

Delhi-NCR was engulfed in dense fog since Wednesday (25 December 2024) morning, affecting the operation of flights and trains, and there was less traffic on the roads as well. Drivers on routes like Ghaziabad, Noida and Gurugram from Dwarka Expressway faced a lot of trouble, and jams were reported on some routes due to fog.

Trains on many routes are also affected

At the same time, fog also disrupted train services. At least 20 trains coming to Delhi from many states of the country were delayed, including Goa Express, Poorva Express, Kalindi Express and Rewa-Anand Vihar Terminal SF Express. Passengers faced a lot of trouble.

Rain is expected on December 26, the Meteorological Department has said that the minimum temperature in Delhi was 9 degrees Celsius on Wednesday, but on Tuesday the temperature dropped to 7 degrees Celsius amid light rain. Apart from this, the department has issued a yellow alert regarding dense fog from December 25. The rain on Tuesday showed improvement in Delhi’s Air Quality Index (AQI).
