Hyderabad: Six people accused of vandalizing Telugu actor Allu Arjun’s residence in Jubilee Hills of Telangana’s Hyderabad on Sunday were granted bail on Monday after being produced at a city court. Amid this, a BRS leader made a stunning claim that one of the suspects, Reddy Srinivas, was an aide of Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. Neither Revanth Reddy nor any Congress leader has responded to the allegation so far.

The accused, who are members of Osmania University’s Joint Action Committee (OUJAC), attempted to force entry into the actor’s house in Jubilee Hills. They demanded Rs 1 crore as compensation to the family of the 35-year-old woman who died on December 4 during a stampede at the Sandhya Theatre in the city where the actor arrived for the premiere of his recent release ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’.

During the hearing today, police produced the six accused before the judge. They were then granted bail and were asked to furnish Rs 10,000 each and two sureties. The orders will be issued to submit within three days.

One of them mounted the compound and started throwing tomatoes, the DCP said, addin that six persons were taken into custody, who claimed to be part of the Osmania University Joint Action Committee (OU-JAC).

Telugu actor has been surrounded by controversy since the release of his film ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’, during the premiere of which on December 4 at Hyderabad’s Sandhya Theatre a woman was killed and her son was injured following a stampede-like situation which was triggered allegedly due to the presence of Allu Arjun, who the public wanted to get a glimpse of.
