New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal has made a big promise for the children of the Dalit community before the Delhi Assembly elections. Announcing the ‘Ambedkar Scholarship’, the government said that any child from the Dalit community in Delhi will be able to go to any college in the world for higher education, and the Delhi government will bear the entire expense. “No child from the Dalit community should be deprived of education, if the child wants to study in any top university in the world, the Delhi government will bear all the expenses”.
Arvind Kejriwal said, “Just like Baba Saheb studied in the country and did PhD in two subjects, during that time he faced shortage of money. Today we are breathing in free India. Today a Dalit child should not face any problem in studying. If any child wants to follow the path shown by Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar.
Arvind Kejriwal said during this, “Three days ago, the country’s Home Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party leader Amit Shah insulted Baba Saheb Ambedkar inside the Parliament. He made fun of Baba Saheb Ambedkar. I consider myself a devotee of BR Ambedkar. I am deeply saddened by his insult. We will condemn any party or leader insulting Ambedkar in the Parliament of independent India.
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said, “In such a situation, he is announcing a big scheme (Ambekar Scholarship) in honor of Baba Saheb Ambedkar. We cannot imagine the struggles he has faced in his life to get education. In the year 1915, he obtained a PhD degree from Columbia. Today I want that no child from the Dalit community should be left behind in getting higher education due to lack of money.”
