Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva on Tuesday targeted the former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal sharing the video of the bungalow that Kejriwal occupied in the past and referred it as a museum of corruption. Sachdeva accused Kejriwal of lying that the place was ordinary when, in actual sense, it was a modern version of a 7-star resort funded by taxpayers. He said that the facilities available at the bungalow are very costly; marble granite lighting costs ₹1.9 crores, civil ₹1.5 crores, and gym and spa fittings ₹35 lakh.

Sachdeva condemned Kejriwal, who poses as an Aam Aadmi, for allegedly duping people for funds meant for his and his family’s comfort. He referred to the gym, sauna and jacuzzi inside the bungalow saying it more resembled a high-end resort than the home of a civil servant. Sachdeva opines that such lavish spending was not public, and to this date, people have not been able to locate the key to the bungalow.

“This is the ‘sheesh mahal’ that he wanted to keep secret from the people of Delhi,” Sachdeva remarked, adding that the public should be allowed to see the bungalow to know how much corruption has gone into it. He challenged Kejriwal to open the door and come outside and see the people of Delhi. He called the alleged misuse of government funds a scam. Sachdeva added more to his allegations, accusing the AAP government of corrupting Delhi.

Similarly, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) denied the BJP allegations vehemently, describing them as “merely an attempt at propaganda warfare.” The previous Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia, was also adamant that the BJP was using such allegations to deflect attention from far more concerning issues.
