Hemant Soren is all prepared to be sworn in as the 14th Chief Minister of Jharkhand, but the event has been planned for Thursday at the Morabadi Ground in Ranchi. There will be many distinguished political persons present at the ceremony, including leaders of the INDIA coalition. The oath will be taken by Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar in the afternoon at 4.
This will not be the first time, though, as it will be the fourth term of Soren’s term as the Chief Minister of Jharkhand. He remained successful in the Barhait constituency by defeating BJP’s Gamliyel Hembrom, wherein he got a whopping lead of 39,791 in the recently held state assembly poll. Saying thank you to the people of Jharkhand for trusting him again, Soren said that the victory depicts the dreams of the people of the state. “This is the victory that belongs to people, and we will strive to make their dreams come true,” he said.
Soren’s alliance under the banner of JMM secured 56 seats in the 81-member Jharkhand Assembly in the recently concluded elections. While the BJP and NDA only had 24 seats. It is considered a vote in favour of a positive and progressive change in Jharkhand, as Soren was quoted as saying that people have voted for development and togetherness.
RS polls are set to witness the big leaders that include Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, NCP chief Sharad Pawar, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, and Himachal Pradesh CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu.
