The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are gearing up for another thrilling season in IPL 2025 with an impressive mix of seasoned players and exciting new additions. At the recent mega auction in Jeddah, RCB secured key signings, including top picks Phil Salt, Jitesh Sharma, and Josh Hazlewood.
Rishabh Pant became the costliest buy ever in an IPL auction after Lucknow Super Giants forked out a whopping Rs 27 crore to get him even after Delhi Capitals exercised their Right to Match option.

Moments before Pant emerged as the most expensive player, Iyer surpassed the previous record held by Australian pacer Mitchell Starc, who was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs 24.75 crore in the last auction. Pant and Iyer now hold the top two most expensive recruits at the auction. In marquee set 2, KL Rahul went for Rs 14 crore to Delhi Capitals, which wasn’t in the top 5 bids of the first two sets.
