The makers of Pushpa 2: The Rule released the trailer of the film on Sunday, November 17 in Patna, Bihar. The grand trailer features Allu Arjun reprising his titular character of a red sandalwood smuggler, while Rashmika appears as his love interest. The trailer seems promising with a dose of everything – drama, mystery, action, music, romance, and culture. What else? We get a bigger villain this time.
X users have been sharing a still from the trailer, of Allu Arjun’s titular character doing his signature Pushpa step with Rashmika’s leg. Allu’s voiceover says in the trailer, “Srivalli is my wife. I’ll show the world what happens when a husband listens to his wife.”
Rashmika Mandana seems to be on this elusive search to find a normal husband on screen. After Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s blockbuster family crime drama Animal last year, Rashmika reprises her role of Srivalli in the sequel to Sukumar’s 2021 blockbuster action thriller Pushpa: The Rise. But Twitter observes that in both films, Rashmika’s character has a rather abnormal relationship with her husbands, played by Ranbir Kapoor and Allu Arjun respectively.
Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2 begins right where the first part ended. The game remains the same. It’s a cat and mouse chase between the gangsters and the authorities trying to tackle the smugglers and their entire business. We also get to see a glimpse of actor Sreeleela’s dance number, which is one of the highlights of the film.
Meanwhile, Arjun and Rashmika were present in Patna during the trailer launch of the film, along with the rest of the team. The film is slated to hit the screens on December 5. It is produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings.
